Who are Polly's students?
Professional singers in the worlds of musical theatre, jazz or pop, actors, TV personalities, dancers, corporate clients & professional business people, singer-songwriters, pop-star hopefuls (many of whom have been signed with record labels and management companies), cabaret singers and complete beginners, and those who just want to sing for fun. Students ages range from 8 to 70.
Case Study: Gabby Logan (TV Sports Presenter)

Gabby, who had never before sung in public performed on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes (ITV1) as Sharleen Spiteri (lead singer of the band Texas). Polly chose not only the artist that she thought Gabby most sounded like, but also the song ('You Say What You Want') that would showcase Gabby's voice. After only three weeks of intensive singing lessons Gabby's performance was so successful that Sharleen even sent her a bunch of flowers!
Joss Stone (International Recording Artist)

Joss had already signed a substantial recording contract with Sony when she came to Polly for private tuition for her GCSE music exam.
Amy Briant (South Coast Idol Winner)
After 6 months of singing lessons with Polly, Amy went on to win South Coast Idol. Judge Gary Bulter said 'Amy is just amazing. She has the look, the voice, the commitment and writes her own material. She has everything to make it'.
With Polly's help, students have landed roles in the West End in shows such as 'Cats', & 'Saturday Night Live', secured work in summer season and on cruise ships, and won talent shows, and passed audtions for drama schools and colleges. Singer-songwriters have used demo CD's recorded in Polly's studio to secure management deals and live gigs.
Feedback from Polly's students
'Thank you Polly. You took me to that ('Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes' ITV1) from nothing in a very short time.'
Gabby Logan (TV Sports Presenter)
'When I started lessons with Polly my singing was unequal: really good days were followed by some really bad ones. Of course self-doubt would follow and make it even worse. Polly has made me understand what my weaknesses were and how to remedy them. With Polly no time is wasted and her energy is amazingly uplifting. As she encourages me to discover my own voice and explore its richness, the results follow and my technique gets better every day. She explains things with patience and clarity, which is extremely important to me as I'm a foreigner. She is a great teacher.'
Monica Lidke (Jazz Singer)
'Polly offers professional and motivational tuition in a relaxed but productive manner. Polly has not only been my mentor in terms of my vocal development, but also with my performance technique, songwriting and studio craft. She has also been a valuable source of wisdom & support in my efforts at cracking the music industry. She is not just a teacher but also a dear friend.'
Alan Bonner (Singer-songwriter/Actor)
'My lessons are really helping to build my confidence, and I get lots of encouragement.' Samantha Harris (Marketing Manager, Carphone Warehouse)
'Polly is a wonderful singing teacher. When I was asked to audition for the part of Mabel in 'Fame' she helped me so much, that I got the part. She is very good at what she does and I would have to say that if you want a good teacher, Polly is the best that you can get!' Nicole Cosgrove (Musical Theatre student)
'Polly is a great communicator and supports me with any difficulties or questions that I have. My voice needed strengthening and that's exactly how Polly has helped me. I know that I still have further to go, but I believe Polly has the knowledge and skills to help me.' Nathan Guy (Musical Theatre actor/dancer/singer)
'I started lessons with Polly 6 months ago when my confidence was poor, especially my timing and remembering the words of songs. I hoped that I could deal with these problems and also learn to sing in a freer jazz style, having previously only sung classical music in choirs. Since then I have made considerable progress and am now working on improving my vocal tone.'
